It is not required any action as no changes on the structure of the source report is done. The filter in the source only affects to the quality of the data shown, correct?
Yeah, you are correct. The data will appear as per the filter changes in the query.

2.1) Adding new variables of selection screen in the BEx.
It would be required to open the WAD and save it, and transport accross systems. right?

No, it is not required to touch your WAD. Just transport only the query to the target systems. Your existing web template will work fine. Unless your query technical name changes, it is not required to touch WAD at all.
